At the location of the port of Ika, a need for reconstruction was noticed because of insufficient number of boat berths and poor conditions of coastal structures. Two design concepts for a reconstruction and upgrade of the port are proposed in this master thesis. Both design concepts consists of a primary breakwater, secondary breakwater, plateau and boat berths. The main difference between the designs is in the type of the structure. In first design concept, based on a previously proposed solution, a composite breakwater is designed, while in the second case a rubble mound breakwater is proposed and designed. Based on the existing wind data, the input data, namely the wave height, length and period was calculated for coastal design. The methodology for designing of composite and rubble breakwater and floating docks is described. After designing all the coastal structures, the bill of quantities and the blueprints were made. From results of performed analysis, the advantages and disadvantages of proposed designs for the port construction can be identified and the project's profitability can be concluded.
