do visoko kvalitetnih, računalno generiranih 3D prikaza. Razvojem računala i različitih
njene likove.
njihova usporedba. Nadalje, kroz praktični primjer izrade vlastitog kratkometražnog
animiranog filma, u tehnici 2D animacije, prikazuju se različiti načini kako postići efekt
trodimenzionalnosti korištenjem osvjetljenja, tekstura i ostalih tehnika dobivenih
sveukupnog dojma o 2D animaciji u kombinaciji s 3D efektima. |
Sažetak (engleski) | From the very beginnings until today, animation has undergone the development from
most simple 2D shapes to high quality, computer-generated 3D images. With the
development of computers and various software, animation has become more realistic
and nowadays it came to the point where it allows viewers to become a part of the story
and relate to its characters. However, despite the massive distribution of 3D animation,
2D animation is still present to this day, in forms from commercials to a vast majority of
TV series and games. The reason behind this is the fact that the rendering process of a
three-dimensional scene is exceptionally hard to process, and depending on the geometry
complexity, material properties which are used on the models, lighting, computer power
and many other parameters, it can take up to a few days. Therefore, the need for an
alternative, which will be able to keep all the benefits of a three-dimensional scene and
the ability to transfer emotion and messages with easier to process elements, has come to
the surface. This thesis is based exactly around this issue. Examples of 2D and 3D
animation will be described and shown, together with their animation process and
comparison. Furthermore, different ways on how to achieve the 3D effect by using
lighting, textures and other techniques mentioned in the theoretical frame of this thesis
will be shown and put to test in the process of creating an original animated short in 2D
technology. Following the animated movie, a survey was also created to test the success
of the 3D effect and overall impression of 2D animation combined with 3D effects. From the very beginnings until today, animation has undergone the development from
