In recent years, environmental awareness has been growing more and more in the world, and because of this, many industries, including the graphic industry, are introducing biodegradable polymer materials into certain segments of production. However, it is not easy to replace the existing material with a biodegradable one that will fully have the properties corresponding to the existing material. New technologies, such as 3D printing, offer the creation of objects and products with a wide range of materials and filaments, which in some cases can match their properties. However, in some cases, when one wants to use a material with exactly the right properties for the right purpose, commercially available materials are not suitable. The goal of this thesis is to create non-standard biodegradable filaments for 3D printing. Biodegradable materials PLA (polylactic acid) and PCL (polycaprolactone) will be used in the work. PLA is one of the most widely used biodegradable polymers. It is often used in medicine and is a growing polymer in the production of environmentally friendly packaging materials. PCL is a biodegradable polymer of synthetic origin. It is degradable in nature by bacteria and fungi. By combining PLA and PCL in different proportions, it is possible to produce a filament with suitable properties. Considering that PLA and PCL are immiscible polymers, a certain proportion of filler based on natural fibers will be mixed into the mixture, which will play the role of compatibilizing the materials used. Material samples will be prepared in the form of filaments for 3D printing.
