Following a detailed inventarisation of the existing walking/hiking and cyclo routes, the study identified key deficiencies and suggested areas of needed improvements. Suggested improvements should, especially in the case of cyclotrails, significantly improve the safety of cycling in the County which should reflect itself on the quality of life of the local population as well. In terms of equestrian tourism development, the study suggested a two step approach. The first step implies the establishment of a main attratcion that will attract the equestrian tourists to the County. Only when the initial interest is established it will make sense to embark upon the creation of a whole system of equestrian trails.
