Diagnosing cerebral palsy involves monitoring the child and using various diagnostic methods such as blood tests, electromyography, muscle biopsy, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging of the brain. Although there is no cure for cerebral palsy, kinesiotherapy, physical therapy, and orthopedic aids can significantly improve muscle control and walking ability. Speech exercises can alleviate feeding difficulties, while anticonvulsants can prevent epileptic seizures. Children with milder forms of cerebral palsy can attend school normally, and parents need to be educated about potential challenges and ways to provide support. Most children with cerebral palsy reach adulthood, although severe cases may shorten life expectancy.
