Tennis is currently one of the world's most popular sports, it is just as attractive as a professional competitive sport, but also as a sport that is extremely popular in recreational sports. In a polystructural complex game, such as tennis, the success of players is primarly determined by the level of technical and tactical knowledge and skills of players, but also talent, appropriate equipment and understanding of certain aspects of sports sciences relevant to the game. Acquiring quality set of motor skills is therefore one of the most important tasks of the entire training process of tennis players, crucial for the further success of players. Specific motor skills enable players to successfully realize various motor tasks characteristic in tennis, and necessary for successful practice. The main goal of this thesis is to analyze the kinesiological structure of the tennis game, and to display the basic kinesiological features of modern tennis. By this it's not only meant the analysis of tennis technique, but also the parallel development of tennis equipment and rules throughout history, as well as the analysis of tactical action in tennis.
