This thesis deals with the theme of psychoanalysis in the business world. The business world, made up of rules, regulations, organization, teamwork, leadership, creativity and structure, at first glance gives the impression of a restricted environment. Discipline, creativity and efficiency are required virtues. What this work emphasizes is the fact that organizations are lead by people, and every man with his past, personality and maturity can greatly contribute to the organization or downgrade it. Psychoanalysis in the business world could be the right tool to explore the causes of success and failure in an organization because it is based on the observation of the unconscious mechanisms and observes the one person in her dynamic interact with itself and the environment which surrounds it. The first chapter talks about the personalities that we meet in the business world, and what is their most common role in organizations. Also developed is the issue of mutual relations of leaders and followers. The second chapter presents different kinds of organizations that exist and show their advantages and disadvantages. The second chapter also talks about the psychodynamics of the group, about the transfer as an engine of the interactions in the organization, and dysfunctional leadership that is most often associated with narcissistic character. In the end, last chapter is trying to explain the influence of money, the main driver of motives of the business world, on the human life from its early development to adulthood. Most of the conclusions are the essence of many years of experience that prof. Manfred Kets de Vries gained working with troubled organizations and companies.
