This final paper covers the creation of a device for bending wires of smaller diameters and its own automation. Setting up the construction of the device starts with defining a list of requirements that sets the criteria this device must meet. After meeting the criteria we may begin with the creation of the 3D models in Inventor which show all the main components and the working principle of the bending device. In order to arrange the functions performed without human presence, it is necessary to automate the system, the LOGO!Soft Comfort program was used automating the system in this project. In this paper, two variants of automation are presented, one of which uses relays in order to control the motors, while the other uses stepper motor drivers. These two variants require two different versions of the program for automation of the device and the main goal of the paper is to show the advantages of using stepper motor drivers in comparison to the usage of relays.
