The method of grounding is selected according to the concrete specificities of a certain network in order to meet all the necessary technical criteria for normal and safe operation, taking into account the available knowledge, technique and resources. A good knowledge of the peculiarities of each possible solution makes the choice much easier. However, when choosing one of the satisfactory solutions, the existing experience, tradition and habits are often decisive. An objective assessment of all the advantages and disadvantages of individual solutions, obtained from techno-economic analyzes of total costs and benefits during the lifetime, should also be one of the decisive factors when choosing the most favorable solution. The aim of this paper is to present the ways of grounding the neutral point and the processing of service quality indicators, power supply reliability and voltage quality, as the main components of the assessment of the quality of electricity supply. The quality of the supply is an important factor when choosing the method of grounding the neutral point, especially the reliability of the power supply and the quality of the voltage.
