Cardiac Ischemia is one of the main death causes in the world, especcialy in developed and middle developed countries. Cardiac Ischemia is a product of more clinical sindroms occured as a result of myocardium ischemia as a consequence of unsufficient oxygen delivery to myocardium because of the change of coconary circulation. Risk factors for Cardiac Ischemia are smoking, diabetes, hyperlipoproteinemia and arterial hypertension. These can be regulated by different diets and treatmentn with medications. Other risk factors (which we can't influence on) are: genetic predisposition, male sex, aftermenopause period and homocistenemia. This disease is more often reflected on male sax then female, in a ratio of 4:1, regardless of age. It is usually manifested as angina pectoris, acute coronary syndrom, hearth rhythm disorder, cardial decompesation or in extreme situations as death. Procedures that are necessary for diagnosing Cardiac ischemia include lab results, electrocardiography, stress test, echocardiography, radionuclide methods and coronography. Treatment can be conservative and operative. In cases where lifstyle changes and medications treatment, a conservative treatment, don't give results of improvement, myocardial revascularisation needs to be considered. This is accomplished with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) or coronary surgical revascularisation. Decision of myocardial revascularisation is based on history data, clinical survey, diagnostic evaluation in which coronography has a special meaning. Prior to surgery, complete and quality preparation needs to be made in order to have positive final result of the procedure. Good preparation means that the patient is informed of all basics of hospital treatment, preoperative procedures, that he is aware of the importance of beeing in compliance with preoperative procedures and that he is informed of the procedure itself, method in which it will be done and possible consequenses.
