The paper analyzes the function of management is extremely important for current and future operations of the Osijek group Žito d.o.o. In the modern market and economic environment, business organization depends on the quality of personnel management, including how to acquire and selection of potential candidates for the job, testing and managing them, motivating and rewarding employees and encouraging them to further education. The survey identified the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and limitations of human capital in the group Žito d.o.o. Force is possible to reduce the threat, and the expertise of employees can affect the development of competitiveness, mitigate the effects of the economic crisis and the retention of existing professional staff. By recognizing opportunities is necessary to reduce the weaknesses, and the EU funds represent a huge growth potential for the application of innovation and new technologies. With this development potential can affect the employment of young people, their training, education and improvement of marketing. Žito group d.o.o. employs more than 500 employees, mainly males between 51 to 55 years, and is profitable for the period 2014-2015 years. After the research is concluded that the development and management of human capital especially important in modern business organization.
