In experimental part of this research, metal complexes of copper(II) with 3-chloro-2,4-pentanedione and selected pyridine ligands with carbonyl and oxime moiety were obtained and structurally characterized: 4-pyridylaldoximebis(3-chloropentane-2,4-dionato)copper(II), methyl-4-pyridylketoxime bis(3-chloropentane-2,4-dionato)copper(II) and methyl-4-pyridylketonebis(3-chloropentane-2,4-dionato) copper(II). Metal complexes were synthesized via two synthetic procedures, mechanochemical and classical solution synthesis. Geometry of selected complexes were optimized with B3LYPD3/ def2‒TZVP computational model and molecular electrostatic potential maps (MEP) were shown. Calculated values were used for rationalizing of intermolecular interactions observed in crystal structure. Also, this approach was used to predict supramolecular interactions in crystal structures of similar complexes: 4-pyridylaldehydebis(3-chloropentane-2,4-dionato)copper(II), 3-pyridylaldehydebis(3- chloro pentane-2,4-dionato)copper(II), 3-pyridylaldoximebis(3-chloropentane-2,4-dionato)copper(II), methyl-3-pyridylketoximebis(3-chloropentane-2,4-dionato)copper(II), methyl-3-pyridylketone bis(3-chloro pentane-2,4-dionato)copper(II). Methodological part of the Thesis entitled „Chemistry set - selected experiments“ provided a review of chemistry textbooks and history of experiment in chemistry classes from time of Austro- Hungarian empire to modern Republic of Croatia. Two ways of teaching chemistry were noticed: (i) principle of substitutional learning and (ii) spiral learning. Two sets of experiments were sugested: Sodium and Intermolecular interaction. Chemistry sets include ten experiments with methodological and didactical materials.
