The right to upbringing and education is guaranteed to all people by international system of human rights. With it, person develops their own capabilities and acquires intelectual, spiritual and social independence trough acquired knowledge. This right allows enjoyment od many other rights, such as right to work and right to participation in political and social life. The right to education as a term includes availability, possibility of choosing upbringing and education according to their own wishes and needs, and stimulating educational environment in which the rights of all participants are respected. Since it is guaranteed to everyone, people with disabilities also have the right to upbringing and education. They go through four levels of education: preschool, elementary, high school, and college. Each of them has advantages and disadvantages. During education, schools as institutions should be adapted to people with disabilities. Unfortunately, in practice things are different because they have to adapt to school. One of the problems occurs especially in secondary education, where schools prevent the enrollment of people with disabilities because they are not ready and do not know how to provide these students with the necessary support. Also, a big problem in the upbringing and education of people with disabilities is the fact that they rarely decide to continue their education, which is why we have a very small number of students with disabilities.
