The topic of this paper is healthcare management. In the introduction, I discuss what healthcare protection is and how it is regulated by our laws, as well as why the health of individuals is important not only for the individual but also for society. Furthermore, I mention healthcare policy as one of the numerous public policies today and its objectives. One of the challenges that healthcare policy faces is the issue of healthcare management. When discussing this problem, this paper is divided into three chapters. The first chapter covers the four basic models of the healthcare system, namely, the market model, Beveridge model, Bismarck model, and mixed model. In the second chapter, the topic is public management in healthcare. I have divided this chapter into three subchapters. First, I discuss the concept and scope of public management in healthcare. After that, I continue with the functions of public management in healthcare, and in the third subchapter, I address the objectives and challenges of public management in healthcare. The last chapter of this paper deals with the question of whether hospitals should have directors who are good managers or directors who are good doctors.
