The focus will be on understanding the characteristics, challenges, and best practices in leading and managing organizations with social or humanitarian objectives. Managing nonprofit organizations can be challenging as they are often confronted with limited resources, the need for compliance with regulations and standards, and the need to achieve positive social impacts. Management in these organizations typically involves project planning and implementation, resource mobilization, volunteer management, stakeholder collaboration, and monitoring and evaluation of outcomes.
