The role and importance of associations in society have become an unavoidable topic in both legal and social discussions. These organizations play a key role in promoting various interests and engagement of citizens in various areas of social life. This final paper will aim to analyse the legal position of associations in the Republic of Croatia, investigating their legal status, right and obligations and mechanisms for regulating their activities. In the introductory part, comprehensive information about associations will be provided. This will be followed by an analysis of the process of establishing associations in the Republic of Croatia. The key stages and steps of that process will be highlighted. Also, the main and secondary provisions of the Statute according to which the associations operate will be discussed. The internal structure of associations will be explored more deeply, and the rights and obligations of its bodies will be analysed through a concrete example of an association. The ways in which associations can collect funds to achieve their goals will also be discussed. At the very end of the final paper, the ways in which associations cease to exist and when they are deleted from the Register of associations will be explained.
