The conceptual design of the machining production system for 5 assigned workpieces will be presented in this graduate thesis. The thesis will include all the essential elements of the design of the production systems along with the analysis of the technological and production characteristics of each workpiece. At the beginning, the basic terms will be defined in order to facilitate the understanding of the remaining parts of dissertation. Afterwards, the task will be analyzed. Detailed description of adopted conclusions will be provided as well as elaboration of processing plans for each individual workpiece. The next chapter will contain grouping of parts by applying the process method. Once the parts are grouped, the selected production processes will be elaborated in the following chapters. Transport and manipulation will be defined in correlation with the given quantities and performance characteristics of workpiece. Spatial distribution of equipment and processing scheduling will be displayed. A Gantt chart will be made for the selected production processes, and required workforce calculated. The last chapter will describe what has been achieved and present the overall conclusion of the whole thesis.
