In this master thesis, theme of analysis and optimisation of aplliances used in the process of railway bridge installation is shown. The following chapters are describing the bridge classification and the analysis of the bridge construction was shown on the example of the railway bridge Ljubošina. Furthemore, short historical development of railway bridges is also shown. Analysis and calculation include the appliances used by Đuro Đaković Montaža during the process of railway bridge installation. The most common technological procedures for bridge installation are also mentioned. Force reactions for the coating beam were determined by Clapeyron’s method and the stress control was performed. In addition, a calculation according to the EN -1993 - 1 was shown on the example of the beam and the coating appliance while the base pylons were controlled by buckling calculation. Based on the obtained results, comparison of analytical and numerical calculation done in Ansys Workbench18.2 is also shown. Numerical solution found that stresses in bridge mounting devices are lower than allowed. In the fifth chapter, the process of optimizing devices is shown in order to reduce cross section dimensions to achieve lower material consumption. In a conclusion a review of the results of the calculation and possible improvements was made with the note that a more detailed analysis is needed where besides static calculation and the force reactions of the coating beam consideration should be given to the installation conditions so that workers will not be endanger during the installation of the bridges and other facilities.
