The main goal of this work is to build a tool for making a glass bottle. Before an attempt at making the tool, it is necessary to design a glass bottle. The history of glass and glass-manufacturing will be described in the introductory part of this work. Vetropack Straža d.d. will also be briefly described, followed by a description of how to make glass packaging all the way from raw materials to the final product, a description of all of the necessary tools to construct the glass packaging and a display of processes while making the packaging. At the beginning of the main part of this work it is necessary to design a glass bottle which will be the basis for constructing the tool to make the bottle itself. While designing the bottle, all the details, which would allow realistic fabrication of the bottle, were taken into consideration. The design itself was conducted in a software package Siemens NX 12.0. In modeling, the bottle is made out of two subassemblies, a body and a bottle neck. Both subassemblies then combine into one assembly. After designing the bottle comes the most important part of this work, the construction of all the parts of the tool which allow the fabrication of previously modeled glass bottle. The construction of the tool will also be conducted in the software package Siemens NX 12.0. Numeric analysis with method of final elements al comes afterwards. A simulation of making the glass bottle was performed in a software package NOGRID pointsBlow. This simulation shows the layout of temperatures through glass cross section in whole process of making the bottle and the layout of thickness of the bottle. An analysis of heat transfer in mold was conducted in software package Ansys 18.1. High-quality schedule of the thickness of the bottle and successful cooling of the mold represent the main factors in the process of making glass packaging.
