Dental injuries represent damage to the tooth and surrounding structures caused by direct and/or indirect force.They usually occur during childhood and adolescence, with the maxillary incisors being the most commonly affected. The purpose of this study is to represent a case of complicated crown fracture of a tooth and its therapy. According to current guidelines, the therapy for exposed pulp favours pulpotomy, which has shown greater success compared to direct pulp capping. In cases where the pulp cannot be maintained vital, therapeutic methods include apexification or revascularization, aiming to complete root growth and development. The prevalence of complicated crown fractures in permanent dentition is 8%, while in primary dentition it is significantly lower at 2%. This can be attributed to weaker mineralization and consequently greater resilience of the alveolar bone during childhood. Complicated crown fractures most commonly occur due to falls, sports activities, traffic accidents and violence. The fact that sports activities account for a high percentage of causes emphasizes the need for the development and use of sports mouthguards for children and adults involved in such activities. In this case presentation of a complicated crown fracture in a young permanent tooth, partial pulpotomy applying Cvek technique is perfomed, followed by composite restoration using nanohybrid composite material. The goal of the therapy is to enable continued root growth and development, preserve the tooth in the jaw, and restore its original shape. This is particularly important for a maxillary incisor, as it has significant aesthetic, phonetic and functional implications for the patient.
