A pillow is a filled support that serves the user during the act of sleeping. Each type of pillow has corresponding filler. In the research, ten pillows filled with polyester fibres, duck feather and down as well as highly elastic polyurethane foams with different filler mass were used. The research was conducted using the Tracker application designed for using in the physics field for video-analysis and modelling. The pillows compressibility and time needed for full recovery due to human head influence were conducted. By increasing the weight of polyester fiber fillers, the depth of the human head in the pillow is lower, while stabilization time after reaching the point of compressibility increases. Duck feathers and down fillers of different masses have almost the same point of compressibility, difference between initial and final filling height is almost equal. The greater filling mass of pillow for 30%, prolonged time for stabilization after reaching the point of compression almost doubled. By comparing the two types of PU foam, it is evident that the fillers behave equally with respect to the point of compressibility, the difference between the initial and final height of the pillow and the stabilization time after achieving the point of compressibility. The results show that the pillow compressibility and time needed for its full recovery due to influence of human head, depends on mass of filler, type of the filler material and type of the pillow.
