The purpose of this thesis is to explore the phenomenon in a modern fashion. The concept of contemporary fashion is based on elements of performative art, through its feature appropriate to the arrival of the new century, influencing various fields.Contemporary fashion is determined by the transition to a state of fluid identities, the fashion shows becomes a lot of alike artistic performance. The most significant fashion events of the 1990s to this date, show that fashion design can no longer be considered without interaction with the media presentation of new lifestyles. Based on an analysis of the latest literature on this problem, Caroline Evans book Fashion at the Edge, research will direct an attempt to determine the fundamental determinants of performativity in contemporary fashion today. The performativity of fashion is a topic that could encompass a whole range of the most diverse incompatible phenomena within ideological views. The transformation of fashion and fashion shows after the 1990s took an experimental form led by a desire for shock and provocation, and while the notion of scattered spectacle shapes new social values, postmodern fashion begins that refers to external reality and refers to itself. Fashion and fashion shows are becoming more real than the same reality and the simulacrum corresponds to a new age, which we call contemporary art.
