Music culture is an art domain where children meet all the possibilities of music through designed activities, with the goal to refine them with music. In the kindergarten, the goal is being achieved through six tipes of activities: nursery rhymes, learning (or repeating) songs, learning (or repeating) rosaries, active music listening, deriving music making and playing percussion instruments. Children love to explore sounds by playing various percussion instruments. Term percussion describes two things that come in contact. Most often, percussion instruments are divided into rhythmic and melodic. Rhythmic percussion are percussion instruments with uncertain pitch, and melodic percussion are percussion instruments with certain pitch. Human body can be used as a percussion. By tapping, clapping, finger snapping, and by many other ways, bodymusic can imitate the sounds from the environment. It relaxes the body and it makes it feels the rhythm all over the body. This paper presents the possibilities of using percussion with children in their early and preschool age through thirteen different activities. It includes introducing instruments to the children, bodymusic, music story. The research was conducted me as being a participant and and observer and it showed that children of preschool age are very interested in percussion activities. Also, different concert trips and music recitals for parents and other children serve as a great motivation. Children are curious about the world around them and they love to make their own little musical works.
