The aim of this paper is to show that veganism as a worldview and life habit should start to be promoted in the institutions of early childhood and preschool education because it is an effective way to reduce the overall suffering in the world for little or no sacrifice of an indivi dual as a moral agent. The arguments in support of this thesis concern the advantages of: i) moral improvement, ii) saving the environment, iii) promoting human rights and solidarity with other nations, and iv) health reasons.. The arguments which support this thesis are concerned with the advantages when it comes to: i) moral enchancement, 'ii) saving the environment, iii) promoting human rights and solidarity with other nations and iv) health reasons. To present these groups of arguments in the best way, the paper is divided into five chapters. First, the introduction briefly explains why the welfare of non human animals should be important to us. The first chapter first defines the basic concept of the paper veganism. It further concerns the dominant th eories about animals throughout history. The next chapter deals with i), that is, the moral aspects of veganism. This chapter refers to the position of Peter Singer, according to which non human animals are equal to us, with the criterion being the ability to suffer. In the next, third chapter, ii) arguments concerning saving the environment are dealt with. The fourth chapter is linked to the third, because the negative effects on the environment result in natural disasters and poor living conditions that m ost people in poorer countries have to deal with the most. Because of the promotion of the idea of human rights and the importance of solidarity with other nations, veganism can also play a significant role in this context. The last chapter deals with the health aspects of veganism. Scientific research has shown that it is not in itself harmful to the health of individuals. In addition, it can bring some health benefits. In the end, it is concluded that based on the presented arguments, it is safe to say th at we should promote veganism in the upbringing and education of children.
