The topic of this paper is the psychological resilience in pre-school children, with particular emphasis on the fact that pre-school teachers represent a very important factor in the development of resilience in a child due to their educational role. The paper presents the research on the significant contribution of pre-school teachers to the development of resilience in pre-school children (aged 3–6.5). The first chapter of this work is focused on the concept of stress because the knowledge of stress is the basis for designing and timely application of strategies for dealing with stress. Therefore, different definitions of stress are given and special attention is focused on stressful events in children. The second part highlights the essence of work because it emphasizes the importance of resilience to a contemporary man whose stress has become an integral part of life. Discussion is also about the relationship between emotional intelligence and resilience and the risky factors which weaken their resilience. However, considering fact that resilience is taught and developed, the educational methods for resilience should be used by parents, as well as the pre-school teachers at pre-school establishments. The third chapter lists and describes the competences for stress management, which children ought to be taught by their pre-school teachers in order to enhance their resilience. Considering to conducted research, a special focus is put on the prevention of stressful situations. However, the remedies used after a stressful situation occurs are also discussed. The final chapter of this work offers an insight into the research which aims to discover the methods used by pre-school teachers in order to develop psychological resilience in pre-school children. The research was conducted by the means of interviews with pre-school teachers only, with the exception of one trainee, and they served the purpose of getting a clear insight into their practices and the experiences they have gained through working directly with children. Based on the collected research results, five different groups of pre-school teacher used to enhance child resilience in kindergarten were obtained.
