The focus of this paper is the European Union funds accompanied by the concept of Europeanization, as well as the impact of funds on the agricultural sector of the Republic of Croatia. In 2013, Croatia became an equal member of the European Union, which also begins the integration process of Europeanization of Croatia. In the context of Europeanization, public policies stand out in particular, more specifically, the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union, which provides guidelines and activities for the improvement of agriculture and rural development of each Member State. This paper is based on a qualitative research conducted by the method of interviews with six respondents, farmers who are project holders, thus directly involved in the process of Europeanization. The topic of the impact of EU funds on Croatian agriculture is interesting, while at the same time the area is insufficiently researched. The general objective of the research was to investigate and describe the effects of European Union funds on the agricultural sector of the Republic of Croatia. The research revealed the advantages and disadvantages of the funds, their weaknesses, but also the potential for further development of agriculture. Although the measures greatly contribute to the development of small and young farmers, their administrative basis is a burden for farmers. Also, the research indicated distrust towards the agricultural policy of Croatia, with a high level of trust in the European Union. As solutions to the problems they face today, farmers emphasize state interventions, the necessity of introducing protective prices and correcting imports to the domestic market. The results of the research indicate a noticeable development of agricultural holdings that have used funds from the European Union, a growing interest in measures and the existence of room for improvement of measures and the agricultural policy of Croatia.
