The theme of this final work is the project of reconstruction of the road – Široke ledine Street. With the elaboration of this project task, the main and execution project for the reconstruction of the Široke ledine Street is being developed. The Široke ledine Street is of special importance for the place, as it leads to the church, elementary school, kindergarten, post office and ambulance, and it is in the center of Trnovec. The road needs to be reconstructed urgently due to numerous road damages and the rainfall drainage system because it currently does not meet the basic building requirements in accordance with the Construction Law. This final work contains a review of the history and development of the roads, both in Europe and in Croatia. The stages of drafting the project documentation, including exploratory and preparatory works, are outlined. The final work contains explanations of basic concepts and elements related to the design of roads such as a straight line, circular arch and crossroads and cross sectional elements. The "Plateia" program was used to design it, and the final work describes the principles and possibilities of work in the same program.
