The theme of this B.A. thesis are Oldham couplings. Couplings are a part of machine elements, whose role is to connect, constant or periodically, two shafts for tourque moment transfer. Beside connecting and transfering moment, they can have also some additional functions which depends on type of coupling. This thesis shows the division of coupling and description of their functions and characteristics comparisment with Oldham coupling which is main theme of this thesis. Oldham coupling belongs to compenstating couplings, and because od their characteristic performances they have the possibility for transverse and small longitudinal shaft displacement, which makes them different then other types of coupling. Introduction part shows the application of coupling in different production line, after that every type of coupling is described in particular. The main part shows the construction of Oldham coupling with calculation of main machine time for each operation which is needed for making transverse coupling.
