Decisions can be made individually and in a group, depending on the number of people taking the responsibility for the decision making. Regardless of whether decisions are made individually or in a group, the ultimate goal is making the best decision that will lead one to the desired state. At first sight, the individual decision making in the organizational behaviour is as simple as the name implies. When comparing an individual decision making to a group decision making, a group decision is made by several people, while an individual decision is made by only one person. However, as it is often a case in the business world, this problem is everything but a simple one. Discussing about situations where the decision making in groups is better than the individual decision making is one of the most complex issues in business; because the right question here is: what is the better? Making decisions in groups is a fact of the organizational life of numerous individuals since they spend at least one part of their working hours in decision making groups. Decisions of less importance, such as daily operational decisions, will usually be made by individuals, unlike the most important decisions that will be made in a group. However, there will be some situations in the business decision making process where the decisions of the utmost importance to the enterprise will be made by an individual. Regardless of an individual or a group, it is important to make a good decision, because it is the only way of achieving a goal.
