This paper is based on analysis of industrial heritage repurpose in tourism with the focus on hospitality of industrial heritage complexes. The aim of the paper is to show multiple possibilities for valorisation of industrial heritage through socially responsible practice. Globalisation in modern world is on the increase and is manifesting in tourism through different positive and negative phenomena. Globalisation also had impact on the creation of “new tourist” and with that on new tourism trends. “New tourist” is characterized with flexibility, individuality, authenticity and ecological awareness. His goal is to enrich his personal cultural capital during his stay at the particular touristic destination. Touristic offer needs to be in accordance with the requirements of tourist demand and in that sense innovation and creativity represent a desirable answer to that. With creativity people come up with different innovative ideas which, in accordance with contemporary trends, need to fulfill the dimensions of sustainable development. Furthermore, this paper is about valorisation of industrial heritage in tourism as an innovative answer to contemporary needs of tourist market. Industrial heritage complexes are offering to its visitors authentic experience through cultural identity of its community. Previous idea will be successfully carried out if remodelled complex in its final stage shows elements of its initial purpose to keep the spirit of its history. Industrial heritage complexes are usually repurposed in museums, galleries, educational institutions etc. However, nowadays industrial heritage has proven to be a suitable solution for innovative forms of hospitality offer as well as themed hotel services. Hotel complexes in industrial heritage with the help of redesign, themed rooms, themed interior and exterior can offer to the visitors unique experience of synergy of history and modern times together with educational contents that teach about the life and work of previous generations.
