The topic of this final thesis is human face and body modeling in programs for computer graphics and the comparison of the methods and tools used for 3D modeling. The introduction describes what 3D modeling is, and the methods and techniques for working on a 3D model are listed. Onwards, it`s also discussed what computer graphics is and its advantages are presented. Some of the 3D modeling methods are described, along with their advantages and disadvantages. The first program that`s being talked about is Autodesk Maya. There is general talk about the program, the user interface and the tools used for modeling. After the program is described, the process of creating a 3D face accompanied by images of the model right until the creation of the final model is being shown. After that, another program made by Autodesk corporation is being described, called Autodesk 3ds Max. There are some basic differences between the two programs being described, and this time it`s about the user interface of 3ds Max. After that, the process of making a body in 3ds Max is being shown. The end leaves us with Blender, the only free program which is mentioned in this thesis. In Blender, the creation of the low polygon model of the human face and body is being described. In all three programs, the similar set of tools is being used, like the extrusion tool, the mesh view tool and the insert edge loop tool.
