As part of this master’s thesis, a topic related to vacuum forming of plastics was discussed. This paper briefly describes mentioned type of thermoforming, how it works, what are the places of application, what has to be taken into account when implementing this process, etc. In addition to theoretical description of the vacuum forming process, a simulation of process was performed within the software Polyflow. The procedure of setting up and conducting simulation is described in detail together with the presentation of the results obtained after the performed simulation. In addition to the simulation, technical documentation was prepared, which shows all the positions on the basis of which the construction of the real device was made, so that the vacuum forming process can be carried out in real conditions. The construction was made by a combination of aluminum profiles, 3D printed parts, standard parts such as guides and guide carriers and other parts that were made with the help of CNC machining center. After constructing device, vacuum forming procedure was carried out in real life scenario and it was concluded that the structure fulfills its function, and that the results are of satisfactory quality. The results obtained by conducting simulations and conducting the procedure in real life conditions were finally compared and it was concluded that simulated and the real results in a large percentage are matching.
