The purpose of this paper is the analysis of publishers access toward the trend called "selfhelp" literature refer to authors and titles of this literature. The paper presents possibilities that self-help literature can offer. The ultimate goal is to obtain an answer to the question of how this literature can be used in psychotherapy and bibliotherapeutical purposes, and how to use it to help people.In order to obtain answers to these questions, the paper work represents publishers, authors and titles of self-help literature. The work carried out more research methods of which the most important are analysis of web site publishers and content analysis of network featured titles. In order to obtain information on loan self-helpliterature, interview was conducted on a sample of six libraries. The results reveal a number of borrowed units of self-help literature and reader profile. Authors were also conducted by the interview. The paper also puts emphasis on marketing, on the ways of marketing that authors and publishers use to promote this kind of literature. It is expected that the obtained results will make an impression and an emphasis on the importance and impact of self-help literature.
