Tourism is one of the most important branches of economics in the Republic of Croatia that continues to grow despite all crisis situations in economy. Croatia is a receptive country which attracts people with its natural and cultural beauties. First of all the main offer of the Croatian tourism refers to the Sun and sea, but it intends to spread its offer through various cultural manifestations. In relation with the long standing researches and explorations of the market, hotels in the Republic of Croatia are becoming more popular and this can affect the initial decision on implementation of entrepreneurial actions through the opening of hotels. The precondition for bringing marketing decisions is a qualitative analysis of the market. Market analysis reduces the business risk. All hotels in the Republic of Croatia are exposed to even a greater competition. Every company tends to meet the needs and wishes of its clients and also to present its advantages. Human potentials are considered to be one of the most important resources in the hotel management because knowledge, skills and abilities have impact on business success and realisation of competitive performance. On of the most important factors in the hotels are workers and their treatment to hotel guests in various conditions and in the conditions of working conditions during the pandemic of koronavirus. The COVID 19 pandemic, impossibility of crossing borders and distancing of social contacts have had a negative influence on the hotel industry. All participants of this economic branch are united in the idea of better understanding of the influence of this crisis as well as finding the innovative solutions and business models that are to be applied and used in order to enable conditions for business activities, maintaining of workplaces and reducing of negative influence on monetary losses. This thesis refers to the influence of pandemic caused by coronavirus in the Hotel Palma in Makarska. The relevant literature was used for explaining theory and the information mentioned and presented in the work were obtained from the private documents of the Hotel Palma, Tourist Board of the Town of Makarska and Croatian National Tourist Board.
