Tourism is the most important economic branch in the Republic of Croatia. The Tourist offer should not be limited only to the summer season tourists in the Mediterranean - tourist potentials should be developed. Continental tourism has great potential, especially the northwestern continental part of the Republic of Croatia, Hrvatsko Zagorje. Further on, a great role is played by the promotion and branding and creation of the image of our Homeland on the international and world market. The use of communication tools and the use of communication channels on digital platforms, with the aim of better and faster visible promotion of tourist destinations, can attract a larger number of domestic and foreign tourists. The favorable continental climate of the northwestern part of the Republic of Croatia provides preconditions for tourism and various creative events throughout the calendar year and there is no limit to only one season. It is extremely important to note that the northwestern part of the Republic of Croatia includes all relevant historical, tourist, indigenous, rural, religious, health and cultural assets with which it can penetrate not only the European but also the world market. By promoting tourism using communication tools, media and social networks, the society will be encouraged to enter newer projects that would enrich the tourist continental destination throughout the year and the possibility of employing the domicile population.
