On 8^th December 2015, support for uploading dissertations as the new type of digital object has been implemented into the Digital Academic Archives and Repositories - the DABAR system. A detailed metadata description of dissertations has been developed as a result of a cooperation between the National and University Library in Zagreb and SRCE and it is available, in Croatian, at DABAR’s web site.

On Tuesday, 5^th November 2015, Digital Archives and Repositories (DABAR) and Croatian e-theses repository (ZIR) were presented to the public at the National and University Library in Zagreb.

For a couple of years now, SRCE has not only been applying open access, but has also been activly promoting it in Croatia. In order to encourage and raise awareness of the open acess principles, from 19^th to 23^rd October SRCE participated in the International Open Access Week – Open for Collaboration (learn more at http://www.openaccessweek.org).

On 15^th October 2015 the total number of undergraduate and master's theses stored into the DABAR system reached a four digit number!

University Computing Centre (SRCE) released Digital Academic Archives and Repositories (DABAR) on 17^th August 2015. All higher education and research institutions in Croatia can now request for their institutional or thematic digital repository to be established within DABAR.
