User testing of the DABAR system

During June and July 2023, user testing of the DABAR system was carried out due to the development of a new version of the Digital Academic Archives and Repositories system. The purpose of conducting user experience testing was done with the aim to improve the DABAR system, and it is based on the method of observing the actual way of using the product, in this case, the repositories in the DABAR system. The testing was conducted by the UX testing manager from SRCE, who guided users through the tasks they performed during the testing of the DABAR system.

Upload of articles from HRČAK to repositories in the DABAR system

In October, functionality related to storing journal articles was reimplemented in the DABAR system. Once again, it is possible to upload complete articles from the HRČAK system into repositories in the DABAR system. During the process of long-term preservation of objects in repositories, it is possible to upload the article file from HRČAK. To upload the complete article from HRČAK, you need to select the "Upload" button to store the object in the repository. At the top of the page, a section for uploading data from external databases will be displayed.

Storage of research data management plans enabled in the DABAR system

In the DABAR system, storage of a new type of object has been enabled, which pertains to the storage of Research Data Management Plans (DMP). This storage option has been made available because the Croatian Science Foundation (HRZZ) will require project leaders to store and publish their DMPs in their institutional repositories.

OpenAIRE guidelines for registering the v4 interface have been published

Webinar Registration of v4 interface in OpenAIRE for repository managers in the Dabar system organized by SRCE, the Ruđer Bošković Institute and the University Library of Split was held on July 4, 2022 and gathered 26 participants. During the webinar, the procedure for registering the v4 interface, which complies with the "OpenAIRE Guidelines for institutional and thematic Repository Managers v4" guidelines, was presented.
